NI KETUT CENIK

This 81 years old dynamo is the most precious container for the ancient sources and forms of Balinese dance and theatre, embracing both male and female styles. Her little frame hums with the energy of eternal creativity and even at this ripe old age Cenik continues to play like a child, flirts like a teenager and dance like a master in her prime.
At 76 she danced the JOGED PINGITAN at the Legong Festival. Weaving her magic on stage she held the audience spellbound for close to an hour. At the close of the performance the applause seemed endless.
From the integrity and strength of this SOURCE came one of the most well known names throughout the world in Balinese dance – DJIMAT.

Djimat means a sign or item of magic of fortune. The artistic flare and personal charisma of I Made Djimat contains the magic of his name. His stardom is rooted deeply in tradition, grounding his fame in a humanity which is classic of the great Balinese masters.

Since 1969 Djimat has traveled abroad sixty-seven times-thus our title of ART AMBASSADOR. Hi continues to follow his passion of bridging the two worlds through the integrity and honesty of the ancient classics. From 1971 Djimat has trained and inspired his own troupe of artists knows as PANTI PUSAKA BUDAYA. In a ever-expanding sphere of artistic influence his people bring the root skills and wisdom from the budding talents of Balinese children to international audiences.

I NYOMAN BUDI ARTHA

THE BRIDGE BUILDER

As the son of Djimat, Nyoman first began dancing at age three, winning first priges in national competition for Baris, Jauk and Topeng at age 13. With his inherited dedication to the Balinese roots Nyoman expanded his fathers foundations with the PUSAKA ARTA ENSEMBLE. At age 34 Budi Artha has already directed, performed, taught and lectured to international audiences over forty times. Along with leading the foundation Nyoman has worked full time for Bali’s Cultural Department, is raising his own family of dancers and received his MASTER in performing arts.

Budi Artha’s mind is much too active to be satisfied by the arts alone. His vision is the BRIDGE, the means and ways of providing and presenting the essence of Bali to the outside world. TRI PUSAKA SAKTI, is Nyoman Budi Artha’s new vehicle-designed to more fully encompass this noble vision.

THE PERFECT PARTNER

NI LUH PUTU SUTARINI

Sutarini brings to the lineage and foundation a rare gift. At five years old she began to dance and while still very young was taken an as prize pupil of the great Legong maestro Sang Ayu Moklen.
Through deep and intensive training Putu came to epitomize the delicate feminine beauty of the Legong.

After giving birth to three sons (securing the future of the Cenik lineage) she continues to radiate and dance with the youthful grace and glow of a palace princess.

I GEDE AGUS HENDRA ARTADINATA

Agus Hendra was born in the family of artists, that his grandfather was a Balinese maestro named I Made Djimat. Since the age of 4 years, Agus Hendra have received training and education of art from his own father and then strengthened again by his grandfather I Made Djimat, besides that Agus Hendra also grow in communities that are very close to art and culture namely Desa Batuan. In his artistic life, Agus Hendra has devoted to the study of Balinese arts including classical art Gambuh, Wayang Wong, Mask dance, Kecak and Other Creative Arts. For her stage experience, Agus Hendra had frequent presentations / performances to all villages in Bali, performances and participated in various national festivals and International Event (Germany, Austria, Japan and Belgium) since he 9 years old.

I MADE ADITYA ARTAPRATAMA

Aditya is an artist who focuses on traditional Balinese music and is one of the grandchildren of Maestro I Made Djimat. Aditya is a professional in playing drums (Kendang), leads a youth music group at the Foundation and has won several drum championships held in Bali. He is currently studying at the Yogyakarta Art Institute of Indonesia. In addition, Adi has also performed at several art festivals in Japan and Morocco with the Tri Pusaka Cakti Foundation.

I Nyoman Tri A. Murti

Bayu is a professional artist who specializes in traditional Balinese dance and music. Bayu is the next generation in the field of dance such as Gambuh, Palegongan, Wayang Wongg and grandson of Maestro I Made Djimat. Currently studying at the Denpasar Art Institute and having experience performing at various events in collaboration with the famous choreographer Eko Supriyanto, besides that Bayu also has experience staging dances at international events in Japan and Morocco
